Fund For Global Awakening In Our Own Words 2000 Research Program

A research project focused on national healing and global awakening
with a vision of new possibilities.

THE INTERVIEWS

During the early part of 2000, over 1,600 interviews were conducted across America with adults over 18 years of age. Conducted by a professional research company, the interviews averaged 43 minutes in length and covered over 200 questions on beliefs, values, spirituality, and lifestyle.

Interview categories included:

  • Social beliefs and attitudes
  • Perspectives on life
  • Lifestyle and media
  • Health and well-being
  • Spirituality, religion, and consciousness
  • Politics

Controlled by age, gender, and geography, the sampling was based on the twelve standard U.S. Census regions. The overall margin of error was plus or minus 1.5%.

Continuing Research Opportunities

Continuing refinement and extensions of the statistical portion of the research program are part of an ongoing multi-client, shared-cost research effort.

Personal respondent follow-up, as well as in-home interviews and focus groups, are to be conducted to expand and refine the solid statistical results already identified. The edited videotape footage from these interviews and focus groups is intended for use in a hosted television documentary series, as well as for organizational, community, and leadership development applications.
