Alex Kochkin is co-founder of Foundation for Global Awakening, a private foundation, and is President of Fund For Global Awakening, a publicly supported non-profit corporation. These organizations represent one expression of his commitment to the spiritual awakening of humanity.

Since a very early age, Alex has been aware of the vastness of consciousness and has been concerned with human evolution. This also served to develop an early and ongoing interest in the natural and physical sciences. Since early 1989 he has been consciously devoted to the spiritual and physical transformation of the individual, humanity and of the Earth.

Alex has a twenty-year professional background which includes management as well as research with emphasis on marketing and product management and planning, qualitative and quantitative research, strategic information and data services for a wide range of commercial, governmental and non-profit clients. This background includes extensive experience as a consultant to business and public agencies. He has been an expert user of dedicated online and Internet-based information systems for over twenty years. His facility for effectively working in a fluid environment with complex sets of information and synergistic relationships has been one of his operating strengths.

Other personal background includes the study and practice of music and visual arts; several years' experience in precision mechanical design and manufacturing; helping found a non-graded alternative high school in Upstate New York; amateur mineralogist; equestrian training; SCUBA diver and avid gardener.
